Numerical Insights is operated by an independent consultant, Tracey Smith, who has 20 years of experience from Canada and the United States and is regarded for her work in global strategic workforce planning and business analytics in a variety of functional areas.

Tracey holds a Bachelors Degree in Applied Mathematics and a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada specializing in numerical modeling. She also holds an MBA from Texas Christian University specializing in forecasting, operational analysis and supply chain. She is a certified Human Capital Strategist from the Human Capital Institute.

Tracey presents on a variety of data driven business topics. She recently presented on the topic of Strategic Workforce Planning at the TMA conference in Boston, MA and served on a panel of experts. She is currently writing a book on the topic of business analytics and the realities / challenges associated with it in the corporate world.

Tracey is currently implementing global strategic workforce planning for a Fortune 100 company setting the standard processess and educating HR professionals on the linkages between strategic workforce planning and other areas such as succession planning, talent management, competency development, training, recruitment and finance.
